The Guardian is featuring our neural interface work!
The Observer, a wide circulation Sunday newspaper in Britain of The Guardian Group, is featuring the neural interfaces co-developed at the Nanomedicine Lab in collaboration with the ICN2 Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices Group and INBRAIN Neuroelectronics.
In the article, several companies, start-ups and spin-offs are mentioned. Among these, the work of INBRAIN, start-up we co-founded, based on the graphene-based neural interface technology between ICN2 and the University of Manchester is highlighted. These devices are more sophisticated than other neural implants in that they do not just decode the brain’s electrical activity, but are also able to regulate it by electrostimulation on the same device.
“It is a sector in which Europe is taking on the US in a race to develop the life-changing tech” says in the article. More to follow up in this space later in the year!
