Mr. Ramiro Pérez Becher

Research Support Technician

BIO

Ramiro obtained a four-year Bachelor's degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with a mention in Bionanotechnology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain, in 2023. In 2024, he completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine, specializing in Biomolecules in Biomedical Research, also at UAB. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, he conducted his final research projects at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), the Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine (IBB), and UAB. His research focused on the development of nanostructured coordination polymers as drug delivery systems for the treatment of glioblastoma

In March 2025, Ramiro joined the Nanomedicine Lab as a Research Support Technician. His role within the group involves conducting research for the MINIGRAPH project, which aims to develop and validate a new-generation brain implants with closed-loop capabilities. This innovative system integrates a skull-implanted flexible electronics unit and high-density arrays of graphene microelectrodes.
