Ms. Despoina Despotopoulou
Despoina obtained her 4-year Bachelor degree in Chemistry in 2020 at the University of Crete, Greece, with an excellent grade point average. During her final academic year she performed a research project for her dissertation on the “Synthesis and characterization of Layered Double Hydroxide (LDH) nanocarriers for potential application in Drug Delivery Systems”. In 2020, she joined the MSc programme in Nanomedicine, offered by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, by the Medical School and the Department of Pharmacy. Currently, she is writing her bibliographic Master Thesis on the “Transdermal administration of nanoparticles” and since April 2021 she is a member of the Nanomedicine Group at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) in Barcelona, Spain, as a visiting Master student. The aim of her project is to study graphene oxide sheets as carriers of biologically active molecules (peptides, adjuvants…) with significant pharmacological activity.
